A396 Road Closure

By Paul, 23/06/2020 9:44 am

Just to let everyone know that the road between the Exeter Inn roundabout and our selves is closed for ‘essential maintenance’. This will effect anyone coming to the Nursery from the north (Bampton and Dulverton). We can still be accessed from the south from Tiverton, Stoodleigh etc. The official diversion is mile round via the link road but there are two routes in either going over the top to Van Post and down Cove Hill then right at the bottom (ignor the road closed ahead sign) or taking the lane over Half Penny Bridge and over the top of Holmingham Quarry, then left down the hill and left again at the crossroads. The works should be completed in under 2 weeks (hopefully a lot less). I’m sure you’ll all apreciate that this is all we need on top of everything else thta’s happened this year. If you can make it to us please drive safely.

Now that the road works are completed on the A396 between Cove and Bampton we can all get back to normal! The summer bedding and hanging basket season in well under way with hundreds of varieties to choose from. We also have ready made hanging baskets for sale and it is not to late to bring in your own baskets to have them filled with summer colour. There’s lots of summer patio plants including many new and exciting varieties. Time for some garden colouring in!

More A396 Off-Peak Road Closures

By Paul, 03/05/2016 8:07 am

Today sees the start of the final set of off-peak road closures for the section of the A396 between ourselves and the Exeter Inn towards Bampton. The road will be closed between 9.30am and 3.30pm daily. Closures are due to continue until the May 13th. I am assured by the contractors that the road will be open on Sunday unless they encounter problems. This is the final stage of the works and hopefully after May 13th we can all get back to normal. The A396 from Tiverton to us as usual remains fully open. To help with access we will again be opening until 7pm in the evening on all days where off-peak closures occur.

Snow Joke!

By Helen, 18/12/2010 11:10 am

Christmas Trees!

Believe it or not we are open and we still have a few Christmas Trees left under this pile of snow!

The snow is laying crisp and deep and even and does look very beautiful even though it may put you off going outside!  Paul is out there (while I blog in the warm!) trying to make the car park accesable!

The A396 is passable and there is traffic occasionally trundling past but very slowly…

At least George is prepared with his stocking but I think he will be disappointed to find snow in it rather than presents!

Festive George!
