We now have in stock our selection of Seed Potatoes. Selected to offer some of the best early, second early and main crop varieties for growing conditions in the south-west. Flavour, yield and resistance to pests & diseases are important factors to us when determining which varieties to stock.

Accord: A high yeilding early with good disease reistance

Foremost: A firm favourite with great flavour and some slug resistance.

Home Guard: Back by popular demand this very early variety makes super new potatoes.

Lady Christl: Tasty and high yielding garden favourite.

Pentland Javlin: Versitile and good on most soils, good for boiling and salads.

Premiere: Very early popular variety with a repulation for blight resistance.

Swift: Very early and best for containers and growing under cover.

Ulster Sceptre: Great tasting early for salads and new.

Winston: Bulks up early making great early jacket potatoes.

Charlotte: The most popular second early with superb tasty potatoes.

Kestrel: Slug resistant and high yielding, good all-rounder.

Maris Peer: Good for boiling and salads. Slug resistant.

Wilja: High yielding second early with some slug and disease resistance.

Cara: Excellent main crop ideal for bakers with good resistance to pests and diseases.

Picasso: High yielding and disease resistant main crop.

Pink Fir Apple: Distinctive in shape and flavour. Finger shaped tubers have a nutty flavour.

Record: New to us this year reported to have excellent disease and slug resistance, good all-rounder.

Romano: A red skinned variety with better blight and slug resistance than Desiree.

Setanta: Another red potato with excellent blight resistance. Good floury taste.

Valor: High yielding and reliable variety with good disease resitance, producing good clean tubers.

Vivaldi: This Albert Bartlett variety performed performed well in our own trial last summer and had a superb flavour.

Isle of Jura: A multi-purpose disease resistant and tasty main crop variety from Albert Bartlett.

Apache: A bright red skinned variety with cream eyes gives this variet a striking appearance. Buttery chestnut flavour makes for exellent roast potatoes.

International Kidney: Better known as ‘Jesrsey Royal’ when grown in Jersey a well known tasty variety.

Mayan Gold: Exceptionally flavoured new variety, best for chips, mash and roasting.
