All Fired Up! Exhibition of Glass at Redearth Gallery 26 Oct – 4 Nov 2012

By Helen, 17/10/2012 8:49 pm

All Fired Up is an exhibition of kiln-formed glass by nine Devon Artists at Redearth Gallery, Bickleigh Mill, Tiverton  26 Oct  to 4 Nov.  (redearth-art.com)    The group came together as a result of attending kiln-formed workshops by Anne Smyth at her Devon Studio (www.annesmyth.com) and despite working in the same medium the end results are all very different in their creativity.  This is the first time that they have exhibited together so the work reflects the different personalities in the group and the versatility of the medium!

Christmas Crafts!

By Helen, 10/12/2010 6:55 pm

If you fancy something handmade for Christmas then we have a selection of glass tree decorations and suncatchers made by myself!  We have also had a fresh delivery of trees today if you needed something to hang them on!

Festive Suncatchers

If you always fancied learning how to copper foil I am available for 1 to 1 tuition,  you could book a session for a loved one as a Christmas present!  Just give us a ring for details.

Festive wreath

We have  festive wreaths for sale, this one is an alternative to the traditional but we also have natural holly wreaths available.

For our cat loving customers meet a new addition to the team.   This is Tom one half of two kittens we got from the Blue Cross, Jerry (naturally)  is the other brother but is very difficult to photograph, hopefully he will stand still for me long enough to get a decent photo soon!

Pictures at an Exhibition

By Helen, 18/11/2010 5:29 pm

This is a new piece of copper foiled glass entitled ‘The Castle’.  Its inspired by Mussorgskys ‘Pictures at an Exhibition’ after a call by the EMG Symphony Orchestra for Devon artists to create work inspired by a movement from it.

The EMG will be preforming Pictures at an Exhibition at Exeter Cathedral on 25th November at 7.30  where you can view this and other artworks.  http://www.emgsymphonyorchestra.org/  for details..

Going potty again!

By Helen, 15/03/2010 9:56 am

We have just taken delivery of pots from Pot Porrium who travelled from East Anglia and made a wonderful display for us.  We are the only stockists in the South West so you are sure to find something different.

Pots

We are also adding to our plant stock on a weekly basis so now have climbers such as clematis and wisteria and favourites such as rhododendron and azaleas.  For those who are still waiting for the bulbs to come out we have daffs, crocus and primroses to name a few to add a bit of instant colour.

We now have our new road signs up so anyone who doesn’t know we are here has no excuse now!

Sign!

Finally, we are lucky to have on sale a selection of beautiful and original hand made tiles by Exmoor based ceramicist Jacqueline Leighton Boyce.  Our photos don’t do the work justice but they feature an iridescent glaze which sparkles in the sunlight!  Inspired by nature each is carefully observed and delicately executed.   If you are after a unique piece of art and reasonably priced then come and see us!
