We have had computer glitches here but we are hopefully back on track with blogging so to let you know we had a delivery of pot grown Nordsman and Blue Spruce today in readiness for Christmas. They are ideal for a small space at the moment but will reward you over the years with beautiful specimens. Also another reminder that we are having a Festive Craft Market on Sunday 11th December 10 till 4, lots of beautiful hand made gifts and you can buy your Christmas Trees while you are here. Joolz of Wicked Willows will be running Kids Crafts Workshops on the day and we will be serving warming mulled wine and mince pies. Still some pitches left, get in touch if you fancy having a stall…
Anyone who has seen our dragon has gone missing and is interested in how a willow sculpture is created can come along to one of Joolzs’ workshops. Here she is working with a couple this last weekend who were lucky enough to book a workshop during our recent heatwave! If you would like to have a go at making a small willow sculpture for your garden get in touch.
We are thrilled to have been a part of the winning team again as not only did the Flower and Garden Marquee win Best Special Features (all due to the lovely ladies from the flower arranging clubs) but the Marquee won Best in Show! This down to the skill and creativity of all the clubs and businesses in interpreting the ‘Dig for Victory’ theme. Special mentions to the Tiverton Gardening Club, The Mayflower in Tiverton and of course the Tiverton Flower Club (amongst all the others who made the marquee look and smell heavenly!). It was a particularly special ‘victory’ as Mary Tucker of the Flower Club who has been co-ordinating the marquee for years is stepping down as chief organiser. We are really pleased that all her hard work has been rewarded, it won’t be the same without her!
Well it seems that we are having a bit of a heatwave here in Devon this weekend which is perfect for those who have just broken up for the Easter Holidays! I am currently exhibiting at RHS Rosemoor which is absolutely stunning at the moment, we are having the perfect spring and with the temperature today and going up for the weekend feeling a bit like early summer!
This is some recently made glass bunting that would look pretty just about anywhere! I can make them any colour to match your decor and I think they would look really sweet in a little girls bedroom with some fairy lights! I have added some beads to give them extra sparkle. These retail at £20 and they can be made to any length.
